Dear Sir/ Madam,

I’m writing because I was on the beach with some friends last weekend and the amount of rubbish we found there was unbelievable.

I think there are possibly two reasons for this. Firstly, people aren’t responsible enough and they throw their rubbish away anywhere. Perhaps we need a few signs and people to patrol the beach. Also, there aren’t enough bins on or near the beach, so I think we need more. Secondly, nobody cleans the beach. I think this is terrible in a tourist town. We need people to clean the beach and empty the bins every day.

We must definitely do something about this situation. We must do it right away if we want a cleaner, and more attractive beach.
