Đề bài

Cho ba vectơ  \(\overrightarrow a  , \overrightarrow b  , \overrightarrow c \) khác \(\overrightarrow 0 \). Trong trường hợp nào đẳng thức sau đây đúng: \((\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b )\overrightarrow c   =  \overrightarrow a  (\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c )\)?

Lời giải chi tiết

Giả sử \((\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b )\overrightarrow c  = \overrightarrow a (\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c )\). Nếu \(\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b  = 0\) thì \(\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c  = 0\) ( vì \(\overrightarrow a  \ne \overrightarrow 0 \)). Vậy cả hai vec tơ \(\overrightarrow a \) và \(\overrightarrow c \) cùng vuông góc với \(\overrightarrow b \) hay \(\overrightarrow a  = k\overrightarrow c \). Nếu \(\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b  \ne 0\) thì \(\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c  \ne 0\). Khi đó \(\overrightarrow a  = \left( {\dfrac{{\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b }}{{\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c }}} \right).\overrightarrow c \) hay  \(\overrightarrow a  = k\overrightarrow c \).

Ngược lại nếu \(\overrightarrow a  = k\overrightarrow c \) thì

\((\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b )\overrightarrow c  = (k\overrightarrow c .\overrightarrow b )\overrightarrow c\)

\(  = (\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c )k\overrightarrow c \)

\(= (\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c )\overrightarrow a\)

\(  = \overrightarrow a (\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c ).\)

Như vậy , đẳng thức \((\overrightarrow a .\overrightarrow b )\overrightarrow c  = \overrightarrow a (\overrightarrow b .\overrightarrow c )\) đúng khi và chỉ khi có số k để \(\overrightarrow a  = k\overrightarrow c \).
